I’m glad I didn’t have children. I sympathize with young people just starting out in this sucky economy.

I curse more, especially when referring to the thugs in power or those who mindlessly support them.

I’m beginning to think I should daydream more, to escape for a while into a fantasy world. And/or read more fiction that is purely escapist. (For some reason I think about science fiction when I think about this—NOT dystopia SF though.)

I hear things like “by the year 2050, yadda, yadda,” and I’ll think, I’m glad I won’t live to see it (in all probability).

I am continually amazed at people’s stupidity in continuing to trust and support this gang of werewolves that are in power. But then, I’ve always been a person to give people (in the aggregate) credit for having more sense than they usually do.

I think about relocating to another country.

Pre-2000, I was very interested in Nazi Germany and Hitler. Even as an adolescent I was. After the 2000 election, that interest suddenly went away. Why research something if you’re living it?

I keep more informed now and call/email politicians.
