Patriotism seems to be a disease. I never realized it before until 9-11. I thought we were beyond that but I guess not. Where do you go or what do you do when you realize the real enemy is your own country? This is too much to take for most people. Even my 89 year old life-time Democratic father sprouts the patriotic rhetoric. He was in the navy and lost a brother in WW2.
