I too am a senior, but from Wisconsin. The pledge was done over the PA every day during my history class last year, don't know what it will be this year though. Normally my teacher didn't care if we stood or recited it, but one day we had a sub who did. Nearly no one stood for the pledge, mainly out of laziness, but when the sub got pissed off, most my class sung "Oh Canada." Of course they cannot punish a whole class. But you are not alone.
