2. my thoughts on the cross desecrator....
He could have done a lot of things, but he chose to mow down tributes to fallen soldiers in a war (I presume) he supports. If you ever wanted proof that republicans support the war but not the troops, there it is symbolicly demonstrated for the world to see.

But lets ask ourselves THIS question: top republican leaders do not attend memorial services for the fallen troops. Pictures of flag draped coffins would never have been shown if not sued in court. Young republicans are not enlisting in droves. No republican politician's child is in Iraq. and yet....and yet....Bush calls the war "noble".
They themselves do not consider the sacrifice of our troops noteworthy of even their scorn. How do they view the war itself as noble?

at any rate, mowing down the crosses proves how powerful a message they are.
We need to start putting up crosses in EVERY TOWN IN AMERICA, in the most visible places possible, next to state capitol buildings, to army recruiting centers.
And when they are mowed down, record the event, and quietly replace them. As 1,800 turns into 2,000 and 3,000 and higher (Which I sadly fear, when our troops are caught between civil war factions) it will be a memorial that cannot be ignored.

FURTHER, I think the Iraqi-American community should fill one whole field with over 100,000 crosses as a memorial.

try to ignore THAT image.
