feel that because you don't know everybody here PERSONALLY, - that they are somehow just a bunch of strangers that you know no more than "bars of soap", then that is sad.

I think she came here because she felt like it was a place she could turn to for friends. I think a lot of us feel that way.

But wow - "attention-grabber"? "expected to give support"?

Next time I see some woman getting mugged on the street and she's shouting for help, I'll have to remember that attitude. Then I won't have to feel guilty for not helping her. I'll think:

Gee, what an attention grabber she is! Why is she shouting for help here when she should go to the proper authorities to get help! I mean, why should I be expected to give support when she's asking for help from the wrong people? Doesn't she know that she should be calling for the police? They are the proper people to ask for help. I sure as hell shouldn't be expected to give support. Geez, how rude! What an attention grabber!
