I think some of the loyalty and "rallying" behind Bush** is simply because of Democratic opposition. In other words Republicans would rather follow Bush** into hell rather than admit that Democrats are right!

I wonder how far Republicans will go in standing behind this a-hole? Would we, as Democrats, have already bailed out if Bush** were a Democratic President? I think so...we bailed on Johnson.

If I remember correctly, a bunch of us Dems were ready to "jump ship" on Clinton, UNTIL the Repubs ganged up on him and then it was a matter of defending him no matter what because we couldn't let the Repigs win.....I think something similar is going on now.
