9. Well they are patting all those people down .. at the Super Dome.
I used to work with the homeless in Dallas, and I know exactly the effect that has. They turn and run from "the man." Look at the people in that line: people of color, for the most part. Poor for the most part (no big SUVs to pack up and leave in). Many homeless.

I saw an African American man in a wheelchair (probably homeless) on the news tonight snorting and saying, "Where the hell am I going to go!"

This harassment is either gross incompetence or blatant racism.

The "terrorist" bullshit sounds like a surrealistic spoof of Rawhide. The hurricane comes toward the "coral," the "cattle" are coming down the chute into the rodeo arena, and the Bad-Bad Bin Laden Gang is singing:

Move ‘em on, head ‘em up, head ‘em up, move ‘em out,
Move ‘em on, head ‘em out Rawhide!
Set ‘em out, ride ‘em in ride ‘em in, let ‘em out, cut ‘em out, ride ‘em in Rawhide.

Terra set to strike New Orleans tonight, and it's not Katrina!
Heh, heh, heh!
