13. Our Government Has *Already* Set The Example... Set The Standard.
It has set the tone and demeanor, and others are now following. I'm not surprised at their initial response and I don't blame them. We are *wasting* our OWN resources and at the same time we are EXPECTING other nations to assist us in this tragedy? Are they obligated to us in any way?

Not too long ago, our government demonstrated its "generosity" with its (pinky to corner of mouth) one MILLION dollar donation to the tsunami relief efforts. (And then demanded to dictate where and how it would be spent.)

That's true. I don't see that. --- Sorry to be the cynic, but I suspect that there's more to his offer than meets the eye. It's very good PR for him to be helping out a nation that treats him as it does.
