9. Things Might Not Bode Well For Incumbent GOPer Politicos
I would be concerned that a Clark presidency would be stymied by the same sort of detestable partisan spite and obstructionism that afflicted the former Clinton White House. On the other hand, a President Clark would control the Justice Department.

This would not be such a good thing for the GOPsters. What with the Enron scandals still lumped under the carpet, four years of Republican control of the Oval Office and the Republicans usually in control of the House and Senate, the GOP might have gotten sloppy.

I suspect that Clark administration prosecutors would probably find at least a few GOP congress critters and GOP Senators who didn't keep their noses clean and their fingers out of the public's cookie jar.

Of course, if President Clark wanted to be particularly cruel, he could do some venue shopping. Here are all these hard-right, anti-civil rights federal judges that Shrub and Co put on the federal bench. What better fun than to shop the political defendant to someplace like New Braunfels or Frericksburg, Texas, where the Germanic mentality of "Dey got themselves arrested by der polizei. Obviously they did something wrong" mentality still lingers among prospective jurors.
