36. going back to cover the story of Katrina?
or returning home for a break? I missed why.

also, after watching that interview: I have never lain eyes on Shep Smith before tonite that i recall, never watching Faux, and am only aware of his stories reported here recently. So at the beginning of the interview, when he came out, i looked at him and thought he looked like a newsguy here on our local nbc - he had the smile, looks etc of most newsmen, etc.

But from that point on, as he began talking about what he had seen, and knew, the look on his face ... that would not work on faux, or any station. There was a serious painful look on his face as he related what he has seen. No matter how Dave L tried to get him to point a finger, or define some unknown, he (Shep) kept returning to the job of recovering the dead ...and that look on his face ... inward at something he could see only ... man

that is one person is some deep psychological pain, imo.

i would bet there is a serious conversion going on inside him.

my 2 cents
