1. I had a conversation with my husband
about this last night. I mentioned that part of the GOP strategy to smear Wilson and one of the reasons Novak outed his wife was to present the assignment as nepotism.

It clearly wasn't nepotism, considering the CIA went to Ms. Plame and asked if her husband would be available, not the other way around. Wilson was more than qualified to take on this assignment, and it's ironic to have the GOP complain about nepotism in any way shape or form considering their appointed leader has only really gotten by in life on the credentials and connections of his Father.

The Freepers have been in denial about this all week, blaming Wilson himself for the outing, not just because his biography mentions her by name (they are too stupid to figure out that publishing her name was not the crime), but many of them also believe that Wilson was the person who outted her to Novak (really). Those idiots have gone from "what's the big deal, everyone in Washington knew she was a CIA agent", to "She was just a low level analyst, a secretary, it doesn't matter that she was outted," to this new phase of blaming Wilson and Plame for being the masterminds behind a plot to take down the White House by framing administration officials for treason. They've clearly lost their minds, but I like to think the level of denial at Freeperville is in diect proportion to the seriousness of the scandal at hand.
