had to run a DVD of news coverage over to Bush to force him to watch to get his attention. This clearly IMPLIES he's not watching the news that week. Newsweek added the statement that it is "not clear" what bush watches except for a couple hours of espn.

While there's no absolutely unequivocal affirmative statement, the things that communicate the most are the things that fly in under the radar as necessary implications. Not being express, they don't get examined by the cerebral cortex for logic, accuracy, etc. Virtually every reader will conclude (based on the necessity of the DVD) that * doesn't watch the news, or at least didn't that entire first week of levee flooding.
