7. Good Luck On Herding Cats
The great thing about DU is how excited and electric this place is. No place is on top of so much that's going on in this place.

That's also it's biggest problem. The attention span in this place is like that of a fruitfly and add to that the personalities, cliques, trolls and other distractions and it's hard to do much more than read and follow threads here and take your shots where you can.

I like your idea, and from one with an extensive communications background, I've marveled at how MoveOn and AAR have been able to grow and prosper. Yes, there is a definite place to spread these messages, and for a long time I've hoped to see more of a local effort and people interested in taking back the airwaves on a local basis. DU just isn't the place to try to coordinate that.

I'd strong suggest you post this in the Media forum, then set up a seperate blog or website where people can come to away from DU. Good luck...here's hoping you have some success in reaching people with your idea.
