Thanks. I agree completely. I get so tired of hearing the same old people chatter. People are aware of what is happening and, at the very least, can do some advance planning. Animals are not allowed that luxury. We are their caretakers and they are important to some of us and deserve our concern and help. Please remember that those of us who love animals love them as real members of our families. If I ever thought I had abandoned a helpless animal because I didn't want the responsibility or inconvenience of seeing them through a disaster --- well, it just would not happen. All of my Katrina donations went to the HSUS, AHA, the WSPA and the Louisiana SPCA.
