12. In his national speech before the attack, Bush
publicly gave Saddam and his two sons 48 hours to leave the country or be invaded.

If he wanted to leave, he would have left.

At the time on DU, I was typing as loudly as I could that at the last minute Saddam would fly to Saudi Arabia and take the castle next to Idi Amin's while he planned his comeback.

I remember it clearly because I was so sure and so wrong.
