Go to the mat on this one. I did not advise going to the mat on Roberts because Roberts had experience and skill. Miers doesn't have either. She's a sycophant. But just as importantly, Bush does not have the mandate to shift the court to hard right. Tie the process up in knots. Give no ground. Make it take as long as it takes to defeat this nomination.

Get Bush out of his comfort zone by forcing him to re-nominate.
