accidents in the same year. We've kept them as our carrier for many years because of their performance.

In both cases, we were hit by uninsured drivers who did serious damage to our cars, though we were fortunate and each escaped our respective accident with minor bruises.

I was driving to work and hit head-on by a driver who lost control of his car. My car was totaled and the price they paid was at the top of the Blue Book rate for it. I was sorry to lose the care, in immaculate condition and perfect driving condition, but it was 7 years old and the amount of damage was horrendous.

My husband was driving home from work about six months later and was hit ("T-boned") by a driver turning into a mini-mart who didn't see him sitting at a stop light. A few inches to the right and my husband would've been killed. His car was newer and more valuable, so they paid for all the repairs, and again, the amount of damage was horrendous.

We had no problems with State Farm about either of the cases. We reviewed and discussed the amount to be compensated for my car and reached an agreed upon figure, only a little bit higher than their original estimate.
