This one is very deep. Weldon has his own baggage in terms of family ties (his daughter I believe) to Defense contractors. When he came out with this story, the rumors started that he was trying to divert attention away from an investigation of these ties. I actually saw this and dismissed the story. At this point, however, it looks like a rotten deal for the Col. and it looks like Weldon is charging hard. Watch for an attempt to pull the rug from under him (or his shift of the story to an attack on Clinton).
