Sorry, I'm sugar coating it, but I watched part of that speech and thought I was going to hurl a lung.

Yes, "sacrifice" is the big code word. The next marketing ploy. The repeated use of the word "sacrifice" is a reminder that that those who sanction his murdering, warmongering, evil schemes are gentle, unselfish, lovely Christ-like disciples.

Get it? Those who allow Bush's war to kill more soldiers and drain the money and life out of our country--are wonderful, noble saints.

Oh, just look at these wonderful Americans, who "sacrifice" so much. They're the salt of the Earth...the ones who play along. Such decent, lovely people--says Junior.

In effect, he's defining the lemmings as angels and his detractors as demons. That's right folks...we're against the war because we just don't know how to "sacrifice". We're selfish.

Yep, those who don't want our soldiers disrespected, lied to and used as cannon fodder are evil dolts who don't know how to give.

I am so FUCKING TIRED of this administration's public relations SHIT!

I am a former public relations exec (and it sure as hell doesn't take a former public relations exec to see through this crap!), and it makes me ILL to know that these chumps sit in a room and have conversations like this,

"Ok. We've got to position the naysayers as selfish bastards. So we keep defining those who leverage the war as people who know how to "sacrifice". We really hammer that word "sacrifice repeatedly, to remind everyone that those who are for the war are decent people and that those who are against it are scum. Sacrifice also has religious connotations too...so that will help to keep our Fundie base secure. If we can help them to believe that it is Christian to be a proponent of war--then we can continue to drag them along like lap dogs with no legs".

I HATE their marketeering and their lying. It's just all such a pile of steamy bullshit!
