Fitz specifically said, at least twice, that the term of the current grand jury expires, today. Done. No more. It was 18 months, extended by 6 months to the 24 months it existed.

However, he said that in the normal course of prosecuting/trying a long-in-preparation case, it is standard that any grand jury would be available to him. He was careful not to build up hopes though.

He says he will do the job, completely. But, he would have predicted this case would have lasted 1 year, not 2. And, he would like to wake up in his own bed in Chicago, as soon as possible. (Instead of being in DC.)
