You saw someone there willing to take it and dish it out.

Entertain the proposition some more.

He is the only one--along with Kucinich--who has a ghost of chance who's speaking out against the character and essence of this monarchic gangster. He also is very careful to "speak sense"; namely that everything has to be paid for and still balance the budget. He misspoke by saying "while also paying down the deficit"; obviously he meant the debt.

This is a man with broad appeal and a serious willingness to do the right thing. Regardless of any differences one has with him, I defy anyone to tell me he's duplicitous or of interested motives. This is a person who truly cares.

Oh...and he can win.

At the moment, the only ones I think who can win are Kerry, Dean and Edwards. Should Junior really take on water, Kucinich might actually be possible in a 1976 kind of way, and that's not too farfetched. For the moment though, Edwards is the most formidable.
