7. The racist Southern Strategy employed by the GOP in the South

Has made them OWN the South. In no other part of this nation has racism translated into political hegemony. If the South wants the rest of the world to think it's not racist they need to put their votes where their mouths are. Only 31% of white Alabamans support interracial marriage according to a Gallup Poll(the national number is about 2/3 in support). Is there any other place in the world, save South Africa, where "racial purity" is so important?
