“John Kerry has not only been a friend to the women’s movement, but has been a leader in standing up for women’s rights since the day he stepped onto the floor of the U.S. Senate.”

For those who don't know, Kerry co-sponsored the Domestic Violence legislation that provided funds for shelters and other services. When he was a prosecutor he set up one of the first Rape Prosecution offices in the country. He was an original co-sponsor of the Women's Health Equity Act. He expanded the Women's Small Business Center program across the country. I don't think there's another Senator who has done more for women than Kerry. The General really knows what she's talking about when she says he's been a leader from day one.
