Even if some all-powerful being were to come up to us and say "THIS is how the universe began", it would still not logically explain what brought the being itself into existence, or what there was before the creation of the universe (of course there always was and always will be a universe, even if it had nothing IN it. Space and time are both infinite, and infinity is one thing I believe humans will never really quite comprehend, even if we do come up with some formula to explain it) Out urge to understand out origins and our reasons for being is only natural, but I think looking to those we love for a reason is wiser than looking for some mythical all-powerful creator. Other animals are quite content not intellectually knowing the meaning of life. They instinctually know the most important thing - the meaning of life is TO LIVE.
