9. As someone with a fifty percent hearing loss in both
ears and who uses a closed-captioned TV, I can state with total confidence that it is, indeed, possible to watch the action and read subtitles at the same time!

Of course, during live news broadcasts, it can sometimes get really funny because the captioning often gets behind what's being shown so that the picture you're seeing doesn't at all match what you're reading. And the captioning of the sounds during sex scenes are often just WAY too funny!
