23. False Bay...
I used to stay at St James, a few kilometres north of Fishoek on False Bay. There was a little island that covered maybe a quarter acre about 2 km out in False Bay that I could watch the seals on from my place. Once or twice I watched Great Whites launch themselves onto the shores of that island and snag a seal before wriggling back into the water. South African bathing beaches tend to have shark nets. Even with nets I would never put a toe in False Bay. It crawls with big sharks.
