According to an interview with one of the W. Bros, the upcoming Matrix Trilogy boxed set will come with two different commentary tracks for each film. One of the commentary tracks is a conversation between various philosophers who liked all the movies about the themes of the films (yawn). But the other one is a conversation between two film critics who HATED the sequels who are allowed to bitch at will about how bad they are. They haven't revealed the names of these critics, as far as I know.

The third film was ridiculous. Two things:

* They all scream "we won!!! YAY!" at the end, yet the fate of all of the humans whose brains were still hooked up to the Matrix is left unclear. It seems very likely that they all died when they were all taken over by Agent Smith and killed. What a great victory -- the annihilation of most of the human race.

* The final scene of the film that's supposed to wrap everything up features three actors who weren't even in the first film that everybody loved. What a rip off. The Oracle character was in the first film (played by a different actress), but she was hardly one of the main characters. Yuk.
