...so, forgive me for the misspellings.

My folks come from Erdely (part of the Hungarian minority still there, not Rumanians) and we emigrated to this country in 1967. My mom was pregnant with me when they snuck out (there was still an Iron Curtain, back then) so I ended up being born in a refugee camp in Italy, where we remained for a few months until our patriation into the US. We always spoke Hungarian in the home. In fact, I actually learned how to speak it before I learned how to speak English, so it's my "first language" in a way.
