"apostrophe abuse" whenever he saw something like that around town.

The other punctuation mistake that drives me nuts is the use of quotation marks for emphasis instead of underlining or bold type or caps:

We have the "best" prices

instead of

We have the best prices

or

We have the best prices

or

We have the BEST prices

You know the poor ignorant maker of the sign intended to emphasize "best," but he ended up saying "We say we have the best prices, but we don't really, you know."
