I loved the essay about your mother and driving lessons. My mother did not drive until her late twenties. My dad, purchased her first car and she only used it to go to church, market and special events. So I can relate to the "permission" aspect of your story. It's old school kinda thing.

My brother and Dad taught me how to drive.

Yes, I still do that Sunday Drive Routine. We go to festivals and the beach. We also have concerts that we like to attend on Sundays in the park.

We had chicken, pasta, salad and left-over pie from last night.
