to record an online stream to an MP3, then load that baby onto your MP3 player in the morning and listen to it in the car with one of those FM transmitters.

The "professional" version of Total Recorder has a VCR type timer so it'll start and stop when you want it to. Only problem is you'll need to leave your computer on all night with a stream streaming the whole time. If you don't have a broadband connection that could be rough.

I use Total Recorder to record all my "live stream" programs, and I have a Creative Nomad Jukebox Zen to carry it all around, and I even bought a new stereo for my car so I can plug in directly rather than using an FM transmitter.
