Three of us once shared a townhouse with "neighbors from hell", people who would pound the walls if a fly farted on our side of the unit after 9pm any night of the week, but they had no qualms about having mom over at 8am Sunday morning to open the doors and sit around the kitchen table singing gospel at the top of thier lungs.

A friend came over on a Saturday night once and got to hear their pounding first hand when we came home from clubbing, and got an earful of gospel the next morning to wake him up from sleeping on the couch into a very hungover state of anger.

Now our friend was a pretty big guy, roughly 6' 5" and a solid 250 or so. He left around noon telling us he had an errand to run and he'd be back later.

He shows up about an hour later with a small U-Haul truck, backs it right up to the neighbor's back door and knocks on it. When the man of the house answered, our friend told him simply: "Hi, you're moving. I got you a truck so you can pack and leave now, and if you need any help getting loaded up, give us a yell next door."

Of course he didn't take the offer, but damned if he didn't move out within two weeks. I guess big imtimidating looking folks with moving trucks can alter your perception of a situation. :)

Friend to this day still says it was the best $19.95 (plus mileage) he ever spent.
