The emotional vibes in a community of worship and prayer and hymn singing are marvelous, especially on those Sundays when everything clicks. I go because I want to, not because God's going to send me to a place where I'll never need my snowboots.

Besides, you obviously don't know what *modern liberal*Christians believe if you think that we think that God sends people to hell for skipping church. Or even if you think that we think that God sends all non-Christians to hell.

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend the sick, give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pitcy the afflicted, shield the joyouse, and all for your love's sake. Amen.
