6. even though you are only doing sprints you should get a
good running shoe. Go to a store that specializes in sports shoes. When you do sprints (as opposed to straight walking) you increase the stress on knees hips and back joints, and you need a shoe made to absorb more shock. I'm preferential to Nikes myself, but go to a specialty sports shoe store and GET FITTED RIGHT! Try on several brands and see what feels the best to you. Also I recommend getting a couple pairs of good quality sports socks. You'd be surprised what a difference they make in the fit of the shoe, and how your feet feel during a run. They can be pricey, but SO worth it.
