Uh, that helps put things in perspective. I haven't been back to Adams Morgan in DC since my car got broken into. That very night, I learned later, someone stole a police cruiser parked right off Calvert St. (the main strip). Funny thing is that my entire CD collection cost more than the current worth of my car, which is why after getting two books stolen I wound up buying an ipod.

So glad you made it out of that nightmare safe!
