35. My wedding dress cost $300
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 10:36 AM by eyesroll
I'm thinking of donating it. No offense to my ex, or to my parents who paid for it -- but it's just sitting in my closet, I'm never going to wear it again, and maybe someone else could get some use out of it.

(Next time I get married, if there is a next time, it's not going to be in a "wedding dress.")

As far as day-to-day clothing goes...nothing I own is very expensive at all. I buy a lot of thrift and vintage. One of my favorite dresses -- silver Marilyn-style party dress -- was $30, vintage. Today, I'm wearing jeans ($5, thrift), an Ambercrombie and Fitch collared shirt that I wouldn't normally have purchased ($2, thrift), and boots ($5, clearance, kids' section at Kohls). I think my bra is the most expensive thing I'm wearing today, aside from glasses.

Oh, on edit: I've also got a light jacket today, thrift, $10.

I'm trying to go to law school next year, though, and I'll probably need to update my wardrobe, for interviews/events and later, for a job. We're business casual here (casual on Fridays).
