4. It is actually winter fever...
Since everyone was conceived either in February or March before the start of spring.

The great story of this is my sister, who was born November 3 (same day as my father...but 34 years later). My parents had been married for almost 10 years and had not been able to conceive. This was February of 1944 and my father was in the Army and about to ship to Europe. They spent two weeks in New York while he was stationed somewhere in New Jersey (forget where...and my mother is asleep) but he was able to sleep off-post at night. They stayed in the Hotel Pennsylvania...across from Penn Station.

My mother conceived during that time. They were ecstatic. The first time our family went to New York, we stayed at the same hotel. By then it was the Statler Hilton...but I read recently that it is again the Hotel Pennsylvania. An older building, but I guess the property has been kept up. We giggled at the thought of staying where my sister was conceived.

I was conceived in what is now a park.

Sorry, admins and mods! This is not a sex thread, but a family history thread. The park at the time was a veterans' housing project where my parents and sister lived.
