I am relying on memory here so you may want to do some research.

Originally the album was released in way that was very expensive to produce and was re-released differently later. This may be why you have the impression that it was only a limited release. Originally there was a plain white cover with "the Beatles" in embossed lettering on the front (there was nothing printed on the outside). In addition, inside there were 4 8" x 10" glossy photagraphs, one of each of the Beatles and a Beatles poster. Later versions were not embossed "the Beatles" was printed in grey on the front. I do not believe that the photos and poster were found in all subsequent releases. I think that if you have the embossed version with all the photos and poster that it is collectible, but the Beatles were so hugely popular that I can't believe that it would be particularly rare, thus not real valuable.
