17. i saw the ramones in houston in the mid 80s
in some strip mall club by the galleria.

prior to the show, the dj was spinning records (me and my group were all stoned and kinda tipsy) and then he played "the secret life of arabia." that was very memorable for me. it's a relatively obscure bowie track.

oh, the ramones were righteous.

HPD stood shoulder to shoulder across the front of the stage as soon as the band started playing and joey said, "stop, stop! fuck this shit! they gotta move."

there was a like a two minute standoff and the cops moved off the stage.
