1. Having to go #2 right after a shower.
2. People who linger on the down escalator as you're rushing to make the train.
3. Salad bar loiterers; you know, those people who stand around indecisive staring at what you're putting in your bowl, even commenting "oh, THAT looks good."
4. People who assume that it's only Black people who can't shut up during the movie; excuse me, you ever been to an "upscale" theatre? "YOU KNOW, TED DID THE SET DESIGN", "I'VE HAD THAT MERLOT, IT'S SO STUNNING", "THIS POPCORN SO BLOWS," "OH, WHY IS SHE CALLING NOW, HELLO? HI MAEVE!!! CAN I CALL YOU BA--... REALLY? WE'RE ALL DOWNTOWN!"
5. Idiots who after the 29th swipe can't figure out that their card is not working (whether it's the ATM, or subway entrance).
6. People who, seeing that the subway is so packed that faces are practically pressed to the windows, still try to force their way in.
7. Newsgroup trolls who think their homophobic, racist comebacks are clever and witty.
8. Corporate America for turning me into a bigot; because of their greed, I now have a Pavlovian, knee-jerk seething reaction whenever I hear an Indian accent that signals offshore call center which seems to be ubiquitous these days. And it's NOT that rep's fault, it really isn't; they're just pawns who serve as a distraction from the REAL villain, the company that didn't train them properly (60 Minutes, I love you but sometimes your stories are SO full of crap!).
9. People who INSTANTLY reach for their wallets even before the subway beggars/candy saleman/religious wackos starts their spiel.
10. If you never thought tone-deaf would apply to rap, check out these idiots with the walkman trying to rap along LOUDLY with what it is they're listening to.

And finally, one of my biggest political peeves:

People who assume that liberals are soft on crime, when it's always right-wingers who cry the loudest when efforts are made to crack down on hate crime, sex crimes (e.g. date rape, sexual harassment, etc.), illegal use of firearms, corporate crime, police corruption, etc.
