But I hated being slaved to the computer to listen to games. I ended up stringing two 10-foot extension cables to put a speaker in other parts of the house or in a window facing outside, but it was still a pain in the ass, especially if I were doing something outside that took me where the speaker wasn't. Also, I obviously couldn't listen in my truck, so I went for XM Radio last year.

Besides the cost (like $15 per month, as opposed to Gameday Audio's $15 or so per season), the drawback to baseball on XM is you get the home club's announcers. While it can be fun to listen to other guys call a game, it can also suck when it's a ball club with crappy announcers. (OTOH, you get a helluva lot more than just baseball on XM.)

Baseball was more fun when the Dodgers were on 50,000-watt KDWN in Las Vegas. But even then, I could pick 'em up only at night.

They ran a promo for Hannity's show at the end of the second inning. :banghead:
