The annual Main St. Arts Festival is going on Thursday through Sunday.

It's free, and there's all kinds of bands (headliners this year are Kirk Whalum, Jonny Lang, Leon Russell, and Los Lonely Boys), food, and artists there, plus the usual stuff you can do downtown. (bars, restaurants,shopping, Bass Hall)

Don't miss the museums just west of downtown on the other side of the Trinity River.
