Computer Question - Regarding Video

I ripped a DVD recently with smartripper. The files it put on my hard drive were vob files. Two large files (about 700 MB) these were my video data. Anyway, I could actually open up these two vob files with powerDVD and they played and looked perfect. My question is....if I burned these two files exactly as they are onto CDs...would they be able to play in my DVD player?
