I never had much exposure to the C-64 because my circle of friends were all Atari 800XL afficionados. It seems that you were required to drool over one of those systems while at the same time despising the other, and I ended up in the Atari camp. :)

My favorite games for that system were Alternate Reality, Encounter, Flip & Flop, Rescue on Fractalis, the Ultima games, the Apshai games, Oil's Well, Spelunker and this one game that was like Pac Man where you were a robber trying to outwit the police on a very large maze (or maybe it was that you were the cops trying to nail the bad guys). At any rate it was one of the most insidiously difficult games of its kind I had ever played and I was obsessed with trying to get further in it.
