4. wow, they're stupid
Greenburg's latest pole shows SC as:
Edwards 14
Gephardt 13
Clark 12
Undecided 12
Lieberman 11
Dean 10
Sharpton 10
Kerry 8
Braun 5
Kucinich1

-no offense, but Bandy's a moron. When you have Dean at 10%, it's stupid to say that he's low on the totem poll. If he rolls into SC with wins in IA, NH, or one of the two, I imagine he could very well grab enough of the undecided 12% to grab a win. A win there would be huge, stunning the media and the Beltway insiders, possibly leading to a clean sweep. On the other hand, even if he placed as he is now, that would be a strong display of strength in the South.
It's even more stupid to not mention Clark, who with 12% could take SC and that would be the story. Taking SC would position Clark well to sweep the South, and knock out Lieberman, Edwards, and severly stunt Gephardt, who needs the South to get a majority of the delegates in the convention.
Hell, if Gephardt, Edwards or Lieberman or Sharpton (shades of Jesse) can grab it, they will try and parlay it into a Southern tidalwave.

It's open to be true, but to focus all attention on Gephardt is far too limited.
