East Jerusalem family being replaced by settlers
Advertisements [?]
The Sheikh Jarrah resident of East Jerusalem was told by a Magistrate Court that he would have to leave his family home. He appealed the evacuation order by presenting legal documentation of ownership of the home that he inherited from his father.

The Israeli administration is claiming that the 90 square meter property belongs to Jewish settlers. Abu Qutaysh’s parents lived in the home since the Israelis forced them from what is now Israeli-controlled West Jerusalem. Six people are currently residing in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood home.

Abu Qutaysh has papers confirming that his family bought the house in 1967 at the beginning of the Israeli annexation of Jerusalem which forced out thousands of Palestinians. Although the documents prove ownership of the house, the Israeli court will not accept them.
