Christians became officially took over the offices of the Roman Empire and became the next generation of persecutors, and of course they were as bad, if not worse, than those that once persecuted them. Jews in Israel are making the same mistake that Christians in the Roman Empire made. That is what the power of the police/military state does to groups that were once persecuted. It corrupts them.
