10. Morality needs to be redefined
I wish I could start a topic on this but they increased the post count to 250...I'm not a frequent enough contributer so it will be awhile.
Riddle me this Batman:
What is moral about giving a tax cut to the rich and making subsequent cuts in social services to the poor?
What is moral about "preemptively" attacking another country and causing loss of life?
What is moral about polluting the environment?

We clearly have our moral issues but have failed to define them as moral. The right wing and the media have successfully defined morality in terms of heterosexualism (if that is a word), church worship, and abortion.

I fail to understand why church leaders fail to condemn politicians for their lack of action against poverty, starting of wars, and failing to be good stewards of the earth.

I hate to say it, but I don't think we will be able to effectively alter the argument until Roe v. Wade is overturned.
