It is about 3 things:

1. short phrases that allow you to define an issue...think of the words "tax relief", "pro-life", "death tax"...we don't have those, we go into long paragraphs that to be frank, lose people along the way...

2. We need to define values, again, read the book excerpt above...republicans have been working for 40 years to define values, and have been pretty successful, very successful...we haven't...and it shows...we need to define values through liberal terms...through liberal policies...

3. We need to be on the offensive...one group of democrats isn't enough, we need many...

We need to start our own think thank, and we are going to start one on DU here...we can do it, its such a huge resource...
