and i am not shy. the question was should we put the gay marriage in the party platform. no, i dont think we should put it in the party platform. civil union sure. i think we take marriage out of government and put it in church. the people that need marriage can go to church. i got married in courthouse. i have not a single issue with my marriage being called a civil union. i think it is the silliest to mess with a word, means nothing. i dont fight and struggle with a word. that is not what my husbands and my union is all about. has nothing to do with a word.

so, to not battle the limited thinking fundamentalist and all other christian that pull out their bible and hypocritically points a finger at a gay let them have the word marriage. i would suggest all that dont believe in marriage have civil union as our new word. we that love all our people need to walk to the union of the gays, instead of trying to bring the gays over to our side.

gays in my family. actually my husbands side, two brothers. his parents being repug catholics are the one that had the bigotry. their liberal daughter in law, well hey,.........i embrace. i told them prior to election, i was the one defending their sons, not even their own parents were doing that in their vote
